What is your job title?
Owner/Creative Director of Chimera Communications, Inc.
What does your job entail?
I’m an emailer. Seriously, I do spend a great deal of time managing client relationships through communications and making sure work is done by the talented people we have on staff. The more fun part of my day is when I can develop concepts that help push our clients brands and products and services forward and into the lives of the people they are trying to reach and connect with.
What inspired you to pursue a career in this field?
I love to write. And advertising writing is fast paced and different every day and with every client. So it keeps things very interesting.
What are some challenges you might come across as a (Job tile goes here)?
Just managing a business and being self-employed can be challenging. There are people challenges, client challenges – and there is never enough time.
What were some of the prerequisites to getting a job like this?
Self-motivation. Creativity. Quick thought process. Ability to read an audience and decide what would make them change their behavior.
How do you know that this is the right job for you?
I have fun doing it – laugh a lot – and it’s rewarding to help our clients succeed.
What are your professional goals for the near future?
Continue to grow the company and do great creative work.
Is this a viable way to make a living?
Yes
Is there any additional schooling needed to pursue a career in this field?
I have a BA in English with a business minor. And I do just fine. Some people don’t have college degrees and also do fine.

Over seeing the creation of various projects

What inspired you to pursue a career in this field?
been drawing since the age of five and wanted to learn about art and graphic design.

Client satisfaction
What were some of the prerequisites to getting a job like this?
College education.
Experience.
Client interaction.
How do you know that this is the right job for you?
Been doing it for 23 years and i love what i do so it doesn't seem like work to me
